Licence

karani is MIT licensed. Use it, fork it, change it, ship it — keep the notice.

The authoritative text is LICENSE in the repository.

What the licence does not cover

The services karani talks to have their own terms. Job boards, ATS APIs, model providers, Slack, Notion, Google. karani reads public endpoints and holds a read-only mail scope, but how you use it is between you and them.

Postings are not karani’s to license. Job descriptions belong to the companies that wrote them. karani stores them locally so it can filter and qualify them; that is not a licence to republish them.

What you send is yours. karani drafts; you sign and submit. Every claim in a pack traces back to a record you wrote, and the attestations on an application form are derived from facts you declared — because they are attestations you are accountable for, not karani (ADR 0023).

Examples on this site

Every posting, company, person and transcript in these pages is fabricated. The candidate is Ada Mwangi, who does not exist. The companies are Northwind Robotics, Helix Data, Meridian Labs and Calderwood Health, none of which exists either, and the application URLs on their postings resolve to nothing.

That is a build gate rather than a promise: the fabricated names live in one module, and a check over the built output fails if anything from a real resume reaches a page. The repository is public and so are these docs, so there was no version of this worth doing by hand.
